Our web shop processes and stores personal data. Polarwise considers careful handling of personal data of great importance. Your personal data is therefore carefully processed and secured by us.

We adhere to all requirements of the Dutch and European privacy legislation. This means, among other things, that we:

● limit our collection of personal data to only the personal data necessary for legitimate purposes;

Polarwise is responsible for data processing. In this privacy statement we explain which personal data we collect and use and for what purpose at the web shop www.polarwise.com. We recommend that you read it carefully.

Your account

In order to use certain features of our web store, you must first register. You must provide information about yourself and choose a username. We use this data to create an account, which you may log into with your username and password of your choice. For this we use your name and address details, telephone number, billing address, e-mail address, payment details, gender, date of birth and IP address. We need this for the agreement we conclude with you. We keep this information until you delete the account.


We store this information so that you do not have to enter it again and so that we can contact you in the context of the execution of the agreement. You can change information via your account whenever you want.  

Provision of data to third parties

We work with certain companies that may receive your above-mentioned personal data from us.

Handling your order

When you place an order with us, we use your personal data to handle your order. We pass your personal data to the courier so that they can deliver the package. We also receive information about your payment from your bank or credit card company. For this we use your name and address details, telephone number, billing address, e-mail address, payment details, gender, date of birth and IP address. We need this because of the agreement we conclude with you. We store this information for up to two years after your order has been completed. We store certain customer data conforming the statutory fiscal retention period.

To handle orders we work together with:

● Our payment gateway Mollie B.V.

● Our courier PostNL N.V.

Advertisements

We would like to send you advertisements about offers and new products or services. We do this:

● per e-mail

● via social media

● by telephone

You can object to this at any time. Each e-mail contains an unsubscribe link. You can block us or use the unsubscribe option to indicate you no longer want to receive any promotional e-mails from us. You can also indicate this when you receive a call. You can also report this via your account.

Location data

If necessary, we may collect location data (GPS) from you. Your permission will be requested for this at the time itself.

This (location) data can also be stored and processed by the provider of, for example, the navigation/map software, such as Google Maps, but the data can also be used by, for example, Google or Apple itself. We have no control over that. Please read the privacy statements of the relevant provider.

Disclosure to other companies or institutions

With the exception of the aforementioned partners, we will under no circumstances transfer your personal data to other companies or institutions, unless we are legally obliged to do so (for example, if the police require this when a crime is suspected).
