Sweating under your armpits is actually unnecessary

Did you know that sweating under your armpits is actually unnecessary? We explain it briefly below! Humans naturally have two types of sweat glands:

1. Apocrine sweat glands (Personal odour)

Apocrine sweat glands develop in puberty and are located in the armpits, lips, around the nipples, pubic area and sometimes on the face. They produce body odour and determine your personal scent!

2. Eccrine sweat glands (Emotion & Body Temperature)

Eccrine sweat glands are divided into two categories:
Sympathetic & Cholinergic and response to emotion and body temperature.

Sympathetic (Emotion)

Sympathetic Eccrine glands are located in palms, soles, and armpits and are stimulated by stress and emotions. This explains your clammy hands, sweaty feet and wet armpits during a stressful presentation or date.

Cholinergic (Body Temperature)

Cholinergic Eccrine glands are located in the rest of the skin and are responsible for the thermoregulation of the body. For example, think of sweat during an intense workout or that hot summer day!

We have made an illustration of it for clarification:

The Eccrine sweat glands release more moisture than the Apocrine sweat glands. In addition, the moisture under your armpits can also be difficult to get rid of, causing it to linger. Bacteria can then spread easily, and that stinks!

But don’t worry. . . our unique formula ensures that you don’t sweat anymore also don’t suffer from unpleasant odours!
